Dorota Rabczewska (DODA) was born 15 February 1984 in Ciechanow. Her parents are Paweł Rabczewski, a two-time medal winner in weightlifting, and Wanda Rabczewska.
Doda was dreaming about being a singer since she was a little child. They said that she had a good ear. When she attended Public Primary School in Ciechanów, she also used to take piano classes in music school. As early as on May 9, 1992 she had her first performance during Mini Hit List in Wojewódzki Dom Kultury (Voivodship Culture Centre)in Ciechanów. Two years later she won the Children's Song Awards in Ciechanów and took part in the programme on Polsat TV - Powitanie Lata w Gdańsku. As a young artist she didin't focus only on her music career. In 1997 she started training athletics. She was good enough to win gold medals in the provincional championships at 100 and 600 m distance, in long jump, shot push and a bronze medal at 100m distance in the Polish Junior Championships in athletics (Mistrzostwa Polski Juniorów w lekkiej atletyce). In the same year, she took singing lessons from Elzbieta Zapendowska. At the beginning of 1997 she joined Buffo theatre, where, as the only 14-year-old girl, she took part in such performances as "Metro" or "Przezyj to sam".
Virgin (2000-2007)
In 2000 Doda was chosen to be a vocalist of the group Virgin, beating hundreds of other candidates. 2 years later they released their first album called "Virgin", thanks to which, thay got the nomination to the prize of the Polish Music Industry Fryderyk in the category "the new face of phonography". Two strong, rock singles "To ty" and "Mam tylko ciebie" promoted the album. In 2002 Doda took part in Bar reality show. As early as in 2004, the band released the second album called "Bimbo", which got to the top of the official list of bestsellers. It was promoted with 3 singles "Dżaga", "Kolejny raz" and "Nie zawiedź mnie". At the end of the same year, Doda became a member of Mensa Polska . It was possible because of her high IQ score (156), so she belongs to 3% of people from the whole world. On 4 September 2005 the band performed in Sopot Festival, winning Słowik Publiczności with the song "Znak Pokoju". It is said to be a real breakout in her career. On 17 October 2005 they released the third studio album called Ficca, promoted with "Znak Pokoju", "2 bajki" and "Szansa" after the rendition in 2006. There were 100 000 albums sold, gaining the status of double platinum. In spite of a great popularity of the band, it was dissolved on 1 January 2007.

Solo Career (od 2007)
The end of the cooperation with the band didn't mean the end of Doda's music adventure. In 2007 she startet her solo career. She released the album "Diamond Bitch" promoted with the single "Katharsis", "To jest to" and after the reedition with "Rany" and "Dziękuję". Before that, Doda was the star of the programme "Jazda z Dodą" broadcast by TVN. During 45 KFPP 2008 in Opole she received a journalists' award. She's the most likable and sought after out of all Polish artists. Even though she's the youngest artist on the market, she has the most experience (it's been 10 years in January 2008). People like her because she doesn't pretend to be anyone else. In spite of being a star, she's also a next door girl who with her optimism and spontaneity cures the people who only see the world's problems. One can see the effects of such a life and artist's professionalism with a blind eye... the best videos, the best show, the best albums with many surprises for her fans. That is why Doda is being associated with in Poland. Music Industry people claim that Doda achieved everything on the Polish music scene... now it's time to become a world class diva. Since March, she was a jury member of the programme together with Irena Santor and Tomasz Karolak "Tylko Nas Dwoje" (Just the Two of Us) broadcast by Polsat TV. In April she appeared in the programme "Tak to leciało". She won 150 000 zloty for the people suffering from the sclerosis multiplex. At the end of June there was an illegal leak of the fragments of her two new songs "Bad Girls" and "My way Or no way" promoting her newest album "The Seven Temptations". Its premiere is planned for the autumn. Doda is now the most popular person in Poland. CNN put her on the list of the best known Poles in whole history of our country (next to Lech Wałesa and John Paul II). She is the most searched person on the web. PRESS-SERVICE estimated her image for 160 000 000 zloty, in 2009 she appeared in 4325 press publications on 40 covers of women magazines. This is an absolute record in Poland.
